PLANNING COMMISSION

​The Planning Commission is the steering committee for this process, and will ultimately be responsible for recommending the plan to City Council.  The individuals below are citizens who serve in a volunteer capacity and have been appointed by City Council to review planning policies, documents, and regulation.

CONSULTING PARTNERS
The City is working with several consultants to develop Columbia Compass.  One Columbia is working with the Amplify Columbia cultural planning process.  Clarion, PlanningNext, BBC Research & Consulting, and Kimley-Horn are working to develop the housing element.  Kimley-Horn and 4-D Engineering are working to develop the transportation element.

Meetings and events have occurred throughout the planning process, and opportunities for engagement will continue with implementation.  Planning Division staff is also happy to come speak to your neighborhood or organization about the planning process or recommendations of the plan.  If you're interested in having staff come speak to your neighborhood or organization about Columbia Compass, please send us an email.
